As a young boy, Dr. Ben Carson was underestimated by his teachers, while facing hostility because of his race. He grew up to become the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center & the youngest major division director in the hospital’s history. In 2008 he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George W. Bush. Dr. Ben Carson joins us today to share some of his story as well as how churches and faith-based communities can counteract issues like racism & hatred, and be a critical part of the solution in America.
